Air Force Civilian Service: Professional Engineering Positions

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for Full-Time Engineers (0800 Engineering Series) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at multiple Air Force Base (AFB) installations such as Hanscom AFB (Massachusetts), Eglin AFB (Florida), and Wright-Patterson AFB (Ohio). We are seeking both experienced and developmental candidates!

Engineering Fields and Impact

From information technology systems and networks, command and control communications, intelligence and reconnaissance systems, manned and unmanned aircraft and aerial platforms, armament and strategic systems, even flight simulators and personal equipment, AFLCMC provides technical support for every material item currently in the USAF inventory. Scientists and engineers are there every step of the way, having an impact and making a difference.

Our Engineering fields span Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial Materials, Mechanical, Systems, and others. These non-supervisory positions work on a variety of programs and platforms.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • These positions may be designated as Drug Testing Positions.
  • The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
  • The employee must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements in accordance with DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8.
