Position Overview: IT Cyber Governance Specialist
The IT Cyber Governance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring cybersecurity practices align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity governance frameworks, policies, processes, and controls to manage risk and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a structured governance approach using NIST CSF & COBIT frameworks.
- Develop and evolve cybersecurity governance frameworks and policies.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure effective cybersecurity controls and processes.
- Monitor KPIs/KRIs and provide performance & compliance reports to leadership.
- Drive process documentation, training, and maturity of cybersecurity operations.
- Conduct regular reviews and gap analyses to improve risk posture.
Qualifications
A bachelor degree or equivalent relevant experience is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in cybersecurity and IT governance. Certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, COBIT, or ITIL are preferred. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work cross-functionally are essential.
