About the role
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Director to join our Global Marketing & Communications team, leading the development of a visual identity that builds AIG’s brand and reputation for quality, expertise, and customer service across all internal and external platforms.
This is a high visibility position leading a team to deliver fresh yet stable design, including but not limited to data visualization, content marketing, interactive and motion graphic design, video, digital, social, and print communications. It is a fast-paced environment so an ability to prioritize and work well under pressure is required.
This position is based out of our NYC office. Key Responsibilities
- Develop a vision, strategy, organization, and resource plan for AIG Creative Services' center of excellence, to complement the global footprint of AIG. Work strategically with external resources to integrate with internal resources with competing priorities. Set clear process for intake, prioritization, feedback, and collaboration.
- Develop trusted partnerships with AIG experts across functions including Marketing Communications, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and other corporate teams to determine needs and deliver excellent and consistent creative design and production.
- Lead and manage a team of design, video and production professionals, including skills assessment and building, workload allocation, and career development. Oversee design and creative execution across a wide scope including internal and external communications, extensive experiential branding (physical and digital), event branding, corporate materials and reports, sales enablement materials, advertising, infographics, and branded promotional materials/items.
- Lead effective marketing and communications design projects in line with the brand strategy, such as social postings, video, data visualization, photography, digital newsletters, emails, collateral materials, advertisements, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, and branded promotional materials from conception to finished production.
- Manage production partners including quality control and cost and service relationships.
- Develop a plan for an in-house materials center including tool kits, templates, etc. with capability to support departments across the organization.
- Establish a design review process and work with management team and other departments to ensure projects are logged, tracked, and completed on time and on budget.
- Assist in enhancing the visual brand standards, responsible for guiding tone, manner, and personality of all brand marketing materials. Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and evolving brand guidelines as needed to reflect changing business priorities.
- Identify hardware, software, and training platforms necessary to maintain capabilities and skills for current and emerging communications vehicles, including global adaptation and distribution of creative materials.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of professional design and creative management experience.
- Strong design aesthetic and an inspiring portfolio of strategic marketing and communications.
- Able to work in MS Office, MS Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Monday.com.
- Team leadership and management experience and judgment.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and a good eye for detail, with a focus on consistency and technical accuracy.
- Proficiency in current and emerging creative development and production technologies.
- Ability to lead, prioritize, manage time, plan well and organize work to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually to meet tight deadlines, supporting teammates and putting in extra time as necessary (go “above and beyond”).
- Must multitask with the initiative and drive to complete projects under stress while maintaining a positive attitude and a collaborative demeanor.
