About AIB's Climate Capital Segment
AIB has set ambitious targets, aiming to make 70 percent of our lending green or transition by 2030, supported by a €30 billion climate action fund. Our Climate Capital segment is instrumental in achieving these goals, investing in large-scale renewables and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and North America. This rapidly expanding area represents the fastest-growing part of the bank’s loan book, offering a unique opportunity to directly contribute to global climate action.
The Role of Senior Analyst Portfolio Reporting & Insights
As a Senior Analyst, you will be crucial in supporting best-in-class performance reporting and robust risk management for Climate Capital's expanding portfolio. This role offers an experienced individual the chance to join an ambitious team building out our international platform.
Key Accountabilities
- Provision of portfolio information, analysis, and insights to the senior management team and other stakeholders.
- Convert raw data into meaningful management information and actionable insights.
- Support asset quality reporting and diligently monitor credit indicators for the entire portfolio.
- Contribute to Climate Capital planning, ensuring accurate and timely forecasts are prepared to facilitate strategic planning.
- Actively seek to eliminate complexity and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders, ensuring business success aligns with AIB's strategy.
- Ensure all processes, procedures, and controls are clearly documented and rigorously adhered to.
- Operate as a strong team player, demonstrating the proven ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish common objectives.
What You Will Bring
- Relevant 3rd level qualification with 3+ years' experience within a similar area in banking.
- Strong credit skills are highly desirable.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to produce and present high-quality reports.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work to challenging deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong attention to detail.
