This Regulatory Compliance Analyst role sits within AIB's Compliance and Assurance team and plays a key part in supporting the Bank’s regulatory strategy and conduct risk agenda. The position is well-suited to someone who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders, managing complex queries, and staying ahead of emerging regulatory developments.

As a Regulatory Compliance Analyst, you will work closely with business units to ensure good customer outcomes, strong conduct governance, and adherence to key regulatory requirements. The role also requires maintaining oversight of regulatory change items, analysing their impact, and helping business areas implement compliant solutions.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping conduct and compliance practices across Treasury, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Climate Capital, and other key business areas.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor and assess regulatory change, ensuring the business understands upcoming requirements and how they impact products, services, and operations.
  • Participate in and contribute to the Wholesale Conduct Forum, helping identify risks, highlight themes, share insights, and support the ongoing enhancement of conduct standards.
  • Constructively engage with Treasury, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Climate Capital, and Risk teams to ensure emerging and existing regulations are understood and applied.
  • Provide timely, clear, and risk-appropriate advice to business units on conduct and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Communicate complex regulatory themes in a practical and accessible way through guidance, policy input, and participation in internal governance.
  • Evaluate proposed solutions to regulatory challenges and provide robust, professional recommendations.
  • Support and oversee regulatory aspects of business projects, acting as a subject matter expert for the compliance function.
  • Take ownership of tasks, manage deadlines effectively, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote and embed a strong risk and compliance culture across the organisation.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum of 3+ years compliance or regulatory experience within a Financial Services environment as part of a Financial Services/Banking Institution, or in an advisory, law, or business consulting capacity.
  • Relevant Professional qualification would be advantageous.
  • Proven understanding of regulation and regulatory strategy in areas including credit risk, consumer and wholesale conduct regulation, MiFID, MAR, EMIR, Client Assets Requirements, PRIIPS, product governance, and consumer protection requirements.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent commercial acumen in all matters of compliance management.
  • Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment, with excellent communication skills (both spoken and written), interpersonal skills, and people skills.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with business stakeholders and/or regulators.
