Our Team

The Aha! engineering team is a midsized, fully remote group centered around North American time zones, allowing effective collaboration. We value growth, teamwork, and rapid iteration with regular code shipments and minimal overhead.

Our Technology

We run a single-instance, multi-tenant Ruby on Rails monolith backed by Postgres, Redis, and memcached. We also incorporate Node.js for collaborative editing and a growing React frontend. Our application is hosted on Amazon Web Services with ECS for scalability.

Your Role as Lead Ruby On Rails Engineer

• Implement new features across the full stack.
• Develop interactive reporting interfaces using React.
• Collaborate with product and UX teams throughout feature development.
• Investigate performance issues and optimize queries.
• Interface with users to quickly resolve bugs.
• Document components to drive consistency.

Your Experience

Applicants should have 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails, proven expertise in scalable and maintainable architectures, and experience developing for high-growth SaaS environments. A collaborative mindset and a commitment to team success are essential.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary ranges between $140,000 and $200,000 for U.S. hires, with profit sharing, retirement contributions, comprehensive medical benefits, substantial paid time off, parental and bereavement leave, and education allowances. Volunteer opportunities and profit-sharing further enhance the benefits package.
