About The Role

VLS Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our remote team. This role is pivotal in driving the development of AI-driven automation solutions within our Learning Management System (LMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full stack development, cloud architecture, and automation engineering, with a particular emphasis on AI integration and testing. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complex serverless solutions on AWS, focusing on enhancing the LMS ecosystem through innovative AI capabilities and automation strategies. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve educational experiences and operational efficiencies through advanced technology.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise in full stack development and cloud computing. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, along with relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer. Candidates must possess strong technical skills in programming languages including JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, React.js, Python, and Java. Proven experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch, and RDS is essential. Familiarity with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like Jenkins, CloudFormation, and Git is also required. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of LMS integrations (LTI 1.3, SCORM, xAPI), API development, and distributed architectural patterns. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and innovation are highly valued.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex software solutions that support the organization’s LMS and ERP systems. Your duties will include designing and implementing serverless cloud architectures, developing microservices, and integrating LMS platforms with external systems using industry standards. You will lead the development of AI-driven automation features, including agentic AI capabilities, automated testing scripts, and self-healing systems to enhance delivery speed and quality. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions, create detailed design specifications, and produce comprehensive technical documentation. You will also manage small sections of ongoing projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Monitoring system performance, implementing observability practices, and troubleshooting issues will be integral to your role. Additionally, you will support the organization’s DevSecOps initiatives by automating deployment pipelines and maintaining infrastructure as code.
