About The Role

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional backend development experience, with at least 3 years specializing in PHP. A strong foundation in MySQL database management, relational design, and query optimization is essential. Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is required, including deployment and management of applications using services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Strong communication and teamwork skills are crucial, as is the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and industry trends. Preferred qualifications include experience with Python scripting, automation, or backend services, as well as familiarity with Ruby on Rails. Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and database schemas using PHP and MySQL to support GrabJobs' platform functionalities.
- Deploy applications on AWS infrastructure, leveraging services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3, while implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and the continuous improvement of backend systems to ensure high performance and security standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize database schemas and queries to enhance system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues in high-traffic environments.
- Develop comprehensive unit tests, debug issues efficiently, and troubleshoot problems in both development and production environments.
- Implement security best practices and ensure secure coding standards are adhered to across all backend services.
