About the Senior AI Data Engineer Role
AgileEngine is seeking a Senior AI Data Engineer to lead the development and scaling of critical data and AI infrastructure. This infrastructure will power next-generation energy intelligence solutions. You will be instrumental in designing robust data pipelines, efficient APIs, and scalable cloud architectures. A key aspect of this role involves enabling advanced LLM workflows and driving automation across the platform. Working closely with technical leadership within a fast-paced startup environment, you will directly influence how raw data is transformed into tangible real-world impact and scalable AI-driven solutions.
What You Will Do
- Build high-reliability data pipelines and APIs to connect to utilities and public energy sources.
- Architect databases and ingestion systems optimized for time-series energy data, billing, and telemetry.
- Design and implement GCP infrastructure components such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Secret Manager, ensuring scalability and cost efficiency.
- Develop infrastructure that facilitates coding agents and AI tools, enabling extensive workflow automation throughout the technology stack.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, robust observability practices, and automation to ensure rapid and dependable software delivery.
- Document technical designs, communicate progress effectively, and collaborate across diverse technical and business teams to translate engineering efforts into measurable impact metrics.
Must Haves
- 4-7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience building production data systems using Python, TypeScript, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Upper-intermediate English communication skills.
