AESS – Agenzia per l'Energia e lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (Agency for Energy and Sustainable Development) is seeking an Energy Engineer or a candidate with similar qualifications for the following activities (indicative and not exhaustive):

Key Responsibilities of an Energy Engineer, Shared Energy Focus

• Conduct technical-economic feasibility studies in the field of Diffused Self-Consumption (AD), including Renewable Energy Communities (CER), Individual Remote Self-Consumption (AID), and Collective Self-Consumption (ACC). Activities encompass pre-feasibility studies for photovoltaic (PV) plants, simulations of self-consumed and shared energy, and the preparation of economic-financial plans.
• Prepare preliminary technical-economic studies in the field of energy efficiency for buildings.
• Support and plan Energy Desks, conceived as information services for citizens on energy consumption, the protection of vulnerable subjects, the adoption of renewable sources, and energy efficiency interventions.
• Support the management of Diffused Self-Consumption configurations (GSE portal and dedicated platforms).
• Participate in outreach events and workshops.
• Assist in preparing applications for regional, national, and European grants.
• Provide support to the Technical Area, as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

Education: Master's degree, preferably in Energy Engineering or similar.

Technical Skills: Good knowledge of fundamental principles in renewable energy and building energy efficiency. Direct experience related to: renewable energy communities, energy desks, feasibility studies, and/or design of renewable energy plants (especially with solar photovoltaic technology) will be considered a plus.

Software Skills: Proficiency with the Office suite. Knowledge of programs such as Python, QGIS, and energy modeling software will be considered a plus.

Language Skills: Fluent in Italian and a good knowledge of English.

Relational Skills: A propensity for dialogue and teamwork. Experience in associations and collaboration with public bodies will be considered a plus.
