SQA Engineer at Infotech

Join Infotech as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our software products. This position requires a professional who is a fast learner with a solid grasp of software QA methodologies, processes, and tools. You will be responsible for designing and executing detailed manual test cases, performing API testing using tools like Postman, and tracking bugs through platforms such as Jira. A deep understanding of the CMMI framework and experience with test automation tools including JMeter, QTP, Silk Test, or Selenium is essential. Your skills will be crucial in testing secure APIs, web technologies, and load/stress testing, contributing to the overall robustness and security of our applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and execute detailed manual test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and API testing using tools such as Postman and JMeter.
  • Write complex SQL queries and test scripts to support backend testing and validate data integrity.
  • Utilize bug tracking and test management tools like Jira or Quality Center (QC) to document and monitor software defects.
  • Implement test automation using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, QTP, JMeter, or Silk Test to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Conduct load, stress, and security testing to assess application performance and security vulnerabilities.
  • Test and validate secure APIs ensuring compliance with security standards and functional requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and web technologies to identify issues and verify network-related functionality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing frameworks.
  • Analyze complex software systems, including stock market trading platforms, to identify potential risks and defects early in the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, and support teams to clearly communicate testing results, quality issues, and recommendations.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to provide quality insights and identify potential test scenarios early.
  • Document all testing activities, defects, and remediation steps with clear and concise details for future reference and audits.
  • Stay informed about the CMMI framework and ensure QA processes align with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and product knowledge to enhance testing effectiveness and contribute to team goals.
