Laboratory Technician, Hydrocarbon

What You Will Be Doing

As a Laboratory Technician, Hydrocarbon at AGAT Laboratories, you will perform essential laboratory procedures vital to hydrocarbon analysis. This includes the precise preparation of samples, reagents, and calibration solutions. You will also provide crucial general lab support by ensuring glassware is clean, workstations are tidy, and waste is properly disposed of.

A key part of your role will involve operating instruments such as GC-FID and TCD, with guidance from senior staff. You will assist with instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting, performing basic analysis and accurately reporting results. Other duties will be assigned as needed to support laboratory operations.

What You Bring To The Table

We are looking for candidates with post-secondary education, specifically a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience. Previous work lab experience is an asset, and comprehensive training will be provided. Experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and general lab skills is also beneficial. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with a keen attention to detail and good organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency is required, and you must be a team player with the ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
