Laboratory Technician C Opportunity

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician C for the Environmental Inorganics Lab in Calgary. This entry level role works under the Laboratory Supervisor to assist with laboratory tasks and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including sample, reagent, and calibration solution preparation.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations, and waste disposal.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
• Compile, verify, and validate accurate data records while meeting quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree is an asset.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience considered an asset.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Experience with documentation and procedural standards.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written), strong hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
• Mature work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving, communication, organization, and time management skills.
