About Senior Operations Risk Manager at Affirm

What You'll Do

Design and own the servicing risk program including frameworks for risk identification, measurement, and reporting. Build structured feedback loops from incidents, issues, audits, and servicing outcomes to identify systemic risks. Translate risk signals into clear, data-backed narratives to influence cross-functional prioritization. Develop risk models, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure to track trends and mitigation progress. Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Audit to align on risk posture and regulatory expectations. Define metrics tied to customer experience and business resilience. Act as a strategic thought partner embedding risk thinking into process and roadmap decisions. Mentor peers and support a culture of proactive risk ownership.

What We Look For

We require 10+ years of experience in operational risk, internal controls, or risk-related functions in regulated or high-scale environments. Proven ownership of risk/control programs with measurable impact on processes, products, or customer outcomes is essential. Candidates should possess strong data skills, including SQL and dashboard development. Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Operations is required. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must, along with familiarity with audit and regulatory readiness programs.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range is $125,000 - $175,000 per year, part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, as well as full medical, dental, and vision coverage. Affirm is a remote-first company; while most roles are remote, some may require occasional visits to the assigned office.
