About Senior Operations Risk Manager at Affirm

Role Overview
The Senior Operations Risk Manager will design and oversee a robust, data-informed risk management framework within the Operations team. The role collaborates with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to proactively identify operational risks and embed mitigation strategies into the business roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Design and own the servicing risk program including risk frameworks.
- Build feedback loops integrating incident, audit, and outcome data.
- Translate risk signals into clear data-driven narratives.
- Develop risk models, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Audit for risk alignment.
- Define and track risk metrics tied to customer experience and business resilience.
- Act as a strategic partner in cross-functional forums to embed risk thinking into roadmap decisions.
- Mentor peers and support team development on proactive risk management.
What We Look For
- Over 10 years of operational risk or controls experience.
- Proven ownership of risk/control programs with measurable impact.
- Strong data skills including SQL, dashboard and reporting development.
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of audit, issue management, or regulatory readiness is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 per year along with equity and additional benefits including subsidized health coverage, flexible spending wallets, competitive PTO, and an ESPP.
Additional Information
This is a remote-first role with occasional office requirements. Visa sponsorship is not available.
