Position Summary: Neurosurgery Specialist

As a Neurosurgery Specialist with Aesculap (US), part of B. Braun Medical Inc., you will play a crucial role in advancing infusion therapy and pain management. B. This position focuses on providing specialized support and sales within the neurosurgery field, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Engage with current and prospective customers, delivering technical, marketing, and administrative product information, demonstrations, and accurate price quotes using the online system.
  • Provide specialized product information to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes for patients.
  • Effectively articulate advanced characteristics and features of Neuro products to Operating Room staff and Surgeons.
  • Offer clinical support during surgeries, troubleshoot equipment, and conduct follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
  • Conduct training and in-services for Neurosurgical equipment users.
  • Address customer needs, requirements, and problems in line with company policy, acting as a liaison between the customer and Neuro Business Unit, Customer Service, and Credit departments.
  • Maintain detailed account records and submit activity reports as required.
  • Manage and submit sales expenses strictly within budget guidelines.
  • Efficiently manage personal sales sample inventory and ensure timely return of Setworld products per company SOP.

This role demands a full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures within the professional field. You will apply standard theories, principles, and concepts, integrating them to propose effective courses of action. Working under general supervision, you will leverage your experience and judgment to achieve assigned goals. Periodically, you may assist in orienting, training, or reviewing the work of peers. Strong judgment is essential for resolving daily challenges, and you will interact with internal and external clients to interpret information and negotiate on projects and unit operations, potentially consulting with senior management.

Expertise: Qualifications - Education/Experience/Training/Etc

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-4 years of related experience required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position involves heavy work, requiring the ability to exert up to 60 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs frequently, and/or 20 lbs constantly to move objects. Activities include occasional standing, frequent walking, finger feeling, handling, and various forms of hearing and seeing. The work environment has a moderate noise intensity and primarily involves an office environment and clinical settings, including hospitals and healthcare facilities. Compliance with customer-specific vaccination requirements (e.g., COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B) and vendor credentialing processes, including background checks and drug screenings, is mandatory.
