Position Summary
The CNC Machinist - 1st Shift is responsible for independently and safely setting up and operating 3, 4, and 5 axis equipment.
Essential Functions
- Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets.
- Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.
- Accurately inspect work using instruments including OD & ID gauges, indicators, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
- Perform daily TPM responsibilities and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Comply with all company and safety rules; wear required PPE.
- Participate in cross-training, cost saving, and team activities to improve processes.
- Maintain tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers and supervisors.

Experience and Education
Minimum of 5 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required. High school diploma or equivalent is necessary; a vocational or college degree/certificate is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
The role requires regular standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent use of hands, and various physical movements like walking, climbing, and stooping. Specific vision abilities are required.

Work Authorization
This position is open only to US Persons (Green Card Holder or United States Citizen) due to government contracts.
Compensation
Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $100,000 per year and is paid hourly. Adjustments are based on experience, overtime, and shift differentials.
