Job Description
Senior Client Support Specialist
Aegon is seeking a dedicated Senior Client Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support to financial advisors and their customers. This role involves assisting clients with asset transfers, facilitating IRA and annuity new business, resolving related issues for timely fulfillment, and collaborating with customers and third parties on service transactions.
Responsibilities
- Follow up with clients on outstanding new account paperwork within the set timeframe.
- Assist clients with paperwork completion.
- Answer incoming client calls and respond to requests for forms, general inquiries, and status updates.
- Make outgoing calls to follow up on outstanding paperwork and requirements.
- Monitor client accounts for required actions and handle each situation appropriately.
- Research and resolve issues by utilizing all available resources.
- Clearly and thoroughly document all client interactions.
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information using the right methods/tools.
- Follow communication and processing procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Assist an assigned group of advisors or agents with onboarding clients.
- Learn annuity new business, including products, paperwork, and process for setting up annuity accounts.
- Identify and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- May provide guidance and/or training on certain tasks.
Qualifications
- Three years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Ability to resolve all but the most complex issues.
- Proficiency using MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service or brokerage/financial services industry experience.

Compensation
The salary for this position generally ranges between $52,000 - $60,000 annually. Actual starting pay is determined by qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation, and operational needs. Salary may vary as permitted by applicable law. This position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
