IT Project Coordinator at Aegon/Transamerica

Job Description Summary

Enterprise Technology offers comprehensive project and program management support, including delivery assurance, consulting, and health checks for key initiatives. As an IT Project Coordinator, you will provide crucial project management support across various assignments. Given the global nature of the team, flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate international projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support, defining deliverables and timelines.
  • Develop, manage, and track project plans effectively.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, prepare minutes and status reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Assist Business Units in navigating service requests and provide necessary coordination.
  • Coordinate activities involving team members from diverse teams, departments, and locations.
  • Deliver assigned project activities within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of project data in the project management system (ServiceNow SPM).
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Enterprise Technology services, operational processes, and procedures.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships to deliver high-value services.
  • Support and adhere to established Project Management methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Two years of experience supporting continuous improvement, ideally in internal audit, finance, administration, consulting, or program management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical aptitude for working with multiple systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Excel and Project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow or Microsoft Project.
  • Exposure to structured Project Management toolsets or methodologies (PMI PMP or Agile).
  • Basic understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
  • Basic understanding of IT principles and their business impact.
  • Good organizational skills, including planning and prioritizing tasks.

Working Conditions

This role operates within a hybrid work environment, requiring attendance in the office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
