Job Description
Senior IT Project Manager
Aegon Global Business Solutions Center is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our growing team of approximately 300 people in Budapest, Hungary. This role involves managing IT projects to ensure they are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. You will be instrumental in helping our customers live their best lives by supporting Aegon's ambition to build leading businesses offering investment, protection, and retirement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, including defining deliverables, timelines, and developing project plans.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and generate status reports.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve project issues and challenges.
- Oversee project teams, which may include individuals from multiple teams, departments, and global locations.
- Ensure successful delivery of assigned projects within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all services, operational processes, and procedures.
- Develop strong relationships and expertise within divisions to provide continuous value-added services.
- Assist divisional clients with navigating service requests and provide escalations as needed.
- Support project teams in the creation of business cases, including cost-benefit analysis.
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Support Project Management methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of related work experience.
- University or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advanced experience using MS Project 2010 and Project Portfolio Tools.
- General understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
