About The Role
The Director serves as Aegis' subject matter expert for electrical and controls installation execution across OEM and Integration projects. This role is primarily responsible for supporting projects where Aegis self-performs electrical installation and commissioning work, while also managing all electrical and controls subcontractor relationships.
This is a highly cross-functional role that bridges Electrical & Controls Engineering, Project Management, and Field Execution. The Director ensures that electrical and controls installation activities are planned, staffed, executed, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual requirements. Success in this role directly impacts schedule performance, installation quality, field productivity, and commissioning readiness.

Requirements
- Technical Background: Extensive hands-on experience with electrical and controls installation in industrial automation environments.
- Field Leadership: Proven success leading electrical installation teams and commissioning support efforts.
- Subcontractor Management: Demonstrated ability to source, qualify, onboard, and manage electrical and controls subcontractors.
- Project Execution: Strong understanding of how electrical and controls installation impacts overall project schedule and critical path.
- Installation Planning: Ability to translate drawings, schematics, and FDDs into executable field work plans.
- Commissioning Support: Experience supporting controls checkout, power-up, 1/0 testing, and system commissioning.
- Safety Leadership: Deep commitment to safe work practices and compliance with site and customer safety requirements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to collaborate effectively with Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Project Managers.
