Position: Senior Ports & Marines Project Manager

AECOM Burnaby is seeking a seasoned Ports & Marines Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and delivery of ports, terminals, and marine infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project teams across planning, design, and delivery.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget in line with client requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in marine structural and geotechnical engineering.
  • Ensure quality assurance while complying with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative engineering and design solutions to tackle technical challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation including designs, calculations, drawings and reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
  • Support business development through technical proposal input and industry engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, or Coastal Engineering; 10+ years of relevant experience; P.Eng license (or eligible within 12 months) or PMP/MBA.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s/Ph.D. in relevant fields; proven track record in complex marine infrastructure projects; expertise in marine structural design and geotechnical analysis; project management skills; strong communication; mentoring experience; BCPE designation; experience with LNG, offshore wind, and seismic design; international project experience.
