Job Overview
The Senior Design and Construction Procurement Specialist role is based in New York. This role is key in managing procurement strategies, bid analysis, contract negotiations, and vendor management for design and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Review project requirements and draft procurement strategy memos.
- Prepare and issue RFI, RFQ, and RFP in the client's PMIS.
- Follow up with vendors and respond to questions during the bid process.
- Analyze bids based on quality, cost, and compliance.
- Engage with General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, and vendors.
- Negotiate and evaluate contracts, prepare purchase orders and agreements.
- Conduct market research and develop relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
BA/BS in a relevant field combined with a minimum of four years procurement experience. A strong grasp of contracting strategies in design and construction environments is crucial. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel are required. Experience with PMIS platforms like PMWeb or Ariba, along with industry certifications, is preferable.
