Job Description

The Senior Civil Engineer - Roundabouts role is based in the Milwaukee, WI office. The role involves planning and designing roadway infrastructure improvements with a focus on roundabout design in Wisconsin.

  • Prepare plans and contract documents for roadway improvements
  • Develop transportation improvement plans and quantity calculations
  • Design roadway geometrics, alignments, roadside and drainage designs, stormwater management, and pavement design
  • Develop roundabouts as a Qualified Roundabout Designer
  • Support highway, bridge, traffic, and transportation planning teams
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Manage projects and guide entry level staff
  • Conduct client meetings and maintain project budgets and schedules

Qualifications

Required: BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent), valid Professional Engineer License, and Wisconsin DOT Level 1 or higher Qualified Roundabout Designer certificate. Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation, Microsoft Office, and project management is preferred.
