Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Senior Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Madison/Middleton, WI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and prepare contract documents for roadway infrastructure improvements.
• Develop transportation improvement plans and calculate quantities.
• Design and oversee roadway geometrics, alignments, roadside, drainage, stormwater management, pavement design, traffic staging, utility coordination, and permitting.
• Design roundabouts in Wisconsin as a Qualified Roundabout Designer.
• Support highway, bridge, traffic, and transportation planning teams.
• Write technical reports including design study, intersection control evaluations, and pavement design reports.
• Conduct client meetings and prepare presentations.
• Manage projects and oversee entry-level staff.
• Make accurate design choices using construction knowledge.
• Perform tasks independently according to budget and schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in transportation design, familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, valid Professional Traffic Operations Engineer License, project management experience, valid Professional Engineer License, and Wisconsin DOT Level 1 or higher Qualified Roundabout Designer certificate.
