At AECOM, we're delivering a better world. Whether improving your commute, keeping the lights on, providing access to clean water, or transforming skylines, our work impacts communities globally. Join our team of over 50,000 professionals solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Job Description

Start here. Grow here. As a Principal Marine Consultant, you will influence the environmental performance of marine development projects across sectors like offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports, harbours, and coastal developments. You will work with technical experts, including our in-house marine ecology team, as part of an established EIA team of over 165 staff in the UK and Ireland.

Your responsibilities include managing the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments, technical reviews of specialist chapters, and ensuring quality across all stages from early strategy development to detailed design and construction. You will also manage client relationships, internal teams, and subcontractors.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Provide expert environmental inputs for diverse marine projects.
  • Ensure deliverables meet rigorous quality management standards.
  • Apply project management skills to effectively manage resources and budgets.
  • Collaborate with integrated teams to identify environmental constraints and opportunities.
  • Lead business development opportunities and technical proposal development.

Qualifications

A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and professional membership (Chartered Environmentalists preferred) is required.
