As a Principal Marine Consultant - EIA Projects, you will influence the environmental performance of marine development projects across sectors such as offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports, harbours, and coastal developments. You will work with technical experts including our in-house marine ecology team, as part of our established EIA team spanning the UK and Ireland.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide Expertise: Manage environmental inputs across diverse marine projects, including EIA screening, scoping reports, environmental assessments, and technical reviews.
  • Ensure Quality: Oversee deliverables to comply with rigorous quality management procedures.
  • Project Management: Manage resources, budgets, and project timelines through all project lifecycle stages.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with integrated teams to identify constraints and propose mitigation solutions.
  • Client Contact & Growth: Manage client relationships, internal teams, and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

A relevant degree (Masters preferred) and professional membership, extensive EIA consultancy experience, and a strong understanding of marine consenting in the UK (and ideally Ireland) are required. The candidate should demonstrate project management skills, collaborative teamwork, excellent verbal and report writing, and a willingness to innovate while mentoring staff.
