Role Summary
The Construction Resident Project Manager at AECOM will supervise highway and bridge transportation projects in the New York City Metropolitan area. This role involves project oversight from planning and scheduling through execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and up to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field construction inspectors and safety monitoring.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage construction activities and staff.
- Interface with contractors and resolve constructability issues.
- Evaluate contractor change orders and manage project budgets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies and local communities.
- Implement quality control processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship required due to project specifications.
- Experience in resident engineering, construction management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with NYSDOT or NYCDOT projects; P.E. License preferred.
- Proficiency in Procore, SharePoint, and MS Project.
- Certifications such as PE, CCM, NICET, PMP, DBIA are valuable.
