Job Overview
The Construction Engineer II position is a part time variable role based in Houston, Texas. This client-facing role requires travel up to 50% and involves managing construction engineering functions, ensuring quality assurance, performing inspections on multiple small projects, and coordinating contractor work. Key responsibilities include ABA Accessibility investigations, development of elementary 2D AutoCAD plans, cost estimation, survey report generation, and construction management support.
Responsibilities
- Perform ABA Accessibility investigations across the US.
- Create elementary 2D AutoCAD plans and elevations.
- Prepare independent cost estimates and survey reports.
- Develop work scopes and support construction management.
- Coordinate contractor selection and manage client turnovers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience; 4+ years preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across the US.
