Job Description
The Transportation Drainage Engineer will plan, design, and implement drainage systems specifically for transportation infrastructure projects. This role supports a flagship Progressive Design Build project involving the I84 & US 89 interchange.
- Design and analyze drainage systems for highways and roads.
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses using advanced modeling software.
- Ensure compliance with stormwater management and flood control regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental and geotechnical experts.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and construction documents.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Represent AECOM in client meetings and public presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum: BA/BS with 4+ years experience or equivalent.Preferred: Professional Engineer, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with 6+ years experience, proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, and experience in transportation projects in CO, AZ, or UT.
