Job Description
As a Transportation Drainage Engineer, you will lead the planning, design, and implementation of drainage systems for transportation infrastructure projects. You will work on a progressive design build project for the I84 & US 89 interchange, along with other exciting initiatives.
- Design and analysis of drainage systems for highways and roads.
- Develop innovative, cost-effective drainage solutions.
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses using advanced modeling software.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in stormwater management and flood control.
- Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, and design teams.
- Prepare and review technical reports and construction documents.
- Mentor junior engineers and represent AECOM in client meetings.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
The role requires a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer license and experience in design software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) are preferred. Experience on transportation projects, local regulatory knowledge, and client relations skills are essential.
