Job Description
The Transportation Drainage Engineer role is available in Phoenix, Murray, and Denver, United States. In this critical position, you will plan, design, and implement drainage systems for transportation infrastructure projects. You will contribute to a flagship Progressive Design Build project involving the I84 & US 89 interchange.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze drainage systems for highways and roads.
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses using advanced software.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental and geotechnical experts.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and construction documents.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Represent AECOM in client meetings and public presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience. Preferred candidates are Professional Engineers with 6+ years experience, familiarity with design software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, StormCAD).
