Position Summary

AECOM's Architecture + Interiors studio in Boston seeks an experienced Associate Principal of Interior Design to lead innovative interior design projects. This role involves guiding design teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring client satisfaction on both local and national projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and architects.
  • Develop and implement design strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Oversee projects from concept through construction administration.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Present design proposals and manage revisions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and sustainable practices.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Drive business development and cultivate client relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field plus significant professional experience, NCIDQ Certification, and a strong portfolio. Advanced degrees and 15+ years of experience are preferred. Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is essential, along with strong project management, communication, leadership, and design skills.
