Role Overview

As the Team Lead Technical Support at Adyen, based in Amsterdam, you will lead a customer-facing team that serves as the first point of contact for our merchants worldwide. Your role involves guiding and mentoring the Technical Support team, collaborating with multiple internal teams (Operations, Engineering, Product, Account Management, Sales), and ensuring a white glove service for our diverse clientele.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team providing expert knowledge on the Adyen platform and APIs.
  • Collaborate with international leadership to standardize best practices.
  • Coach and mentor team members for technical growth and career development.
  • Define and communicate clear objectives and key results for the team.
  • Track progress and present results to Senior Leadership.

Who You Are

  • A people leader with 2-6 years managing technical support teams.
  • Innovative and comfortable with ambiguity, process driven.
  • A capable escalation point for complex technical support issues.
  • A quick decision maker with strong prioritization skills.
  • An excellent communicator with empathy and clarity.
  • Technically inclined with enthusiasm for fintech, although prior payments experience is not required.
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally when needed.

Work Details

This full-time role is based in Amsterdam with a hybrid work setup (3 days in-office). Candidates living outside the Netherlands are required to relocate.
