What You’ll Do
As a KYC Operations Team Lead, based in our Madrid office, you will guide a team responsible for performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks on our global customer base. Your primary focus will be to ensure adherence to compliance standards, meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and provide an excellent customer experience. You will collaborate closely with commercial, compliance, and product teams, engaging with some of the world's largest companies to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead the team responsible for efficient and compliant KYC processes during new merchant onboarding.
- Define and clearly communicate key objectives, goals, and SLAs for your team.
- Evaluate team performance through metrics, track progress, and present results to Senior Leadership.
- Take ultimate responsibility for all decision-making regarding your team.
- Coach, mentor, and manage team members, providing direct feedback for growth.
- Recruit and onboard talented CDD/KYC Analysts to contribute to Adyen's and its merchants’ growth.
This role is based out of our Madrid office. Adyen is an office-first company and values in-person collaboration; remote-only roles are not offered.
Who You Are
Adyen is seeking a proactive leader with a strong background in operational management and compliance. If you thrive in a dynamic, global environment and are passionate about fostering team success while ensuring regulatory adherence, you are an ideal candidate.
- A proven people leader with at least 2 years of people management experience, preferably in Operations, Support, or Compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational teams to meet KPIs and SLAs, working cross-functionally across different global business units.
- Possess a foundational understanding of KYC processes and best practices within FinTech, banking, payments, or other financial industries.
- Innovative and problem-solving oriented, capable of improving operational processes through automation and efficiency measures.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable working within international and global teams.
- An excellent communicator in English, adept at collaborating with both technical and non-technical professionals.
