Role Overview: Financial Risk Analyst
As a Financial Risk Analyst on our Merchant Potential Liability Team, you will evaluate and manage financial risk (e.g. chargebacks) and assess the risk of new products. Working closely with Commercial, Product, and Legal teams, you'll help limit Adyen’s exposure to credit losses.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform in-depth credit assessments analyzing business models and financial health.
- Deliver clear credit risk recommendations to commercial, legal, and second line teams.
- Support merchants throughout their credit lifecycle while prioritizing customer experience.
- Monitor credit portfolio health by tracking various data sources.
- Own and deliver different credit risk procedures, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Identify policy gaps and drive continuous process improvements.
- Communicate Adyen’s risk management approach to merchants and internal teams.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of financial risk experience with a strong interest in financial markets.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to liaise across diverse teams globally.
- Innovative problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Possess strong analytical skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- University degree in business economics, statistics, finance, or a quantitative field preferred.
