About the Role
As a Data Analyst at Advance Delivery Consulting, you will engage with one of Australia's largest companies, based in Sydney CBD or Melbourne. This role challenges you to take ownership of analyzing master datasets and resolving data issues. Success requires an excellent eye for detail, prior data analysis experience, and a deep understanding of popular data analysis tools and databases. The position also involves extensive knowledge and experience in ETL development using Informatica.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize strong SQL skills for data profiling.
- Analyze, profile, and systematically present data for business and management understanding.
- Perform ETL development and data migration tasks, specifically with Informatica.
- Interpret the functional and reporting aspects of data.
- Present data to business stakeholders and consumers, clarifying scope and highlighting gaps/issues in source data.
- Identify patterns and trends within various data sets.
- Collaborate with internal business teams, solution teams, and technical teams to define business needs.
- Document data mapping rules for migration processes.
Skills and Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Data Analysis & Development for a Junior role.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis & Development for a Mid role.
- Solid consulting ability across SSIS, SSRS, expert in data profiling/analysis, SQL, and data deduplication/cleansing.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: ability to analyze and critically evaluate information to resolve conflicts, anticipate issues, and prioritize decisions.
- Ideally, experience in a client-facing capacity with strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage and influence key stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in the Health Cover and insurance domain is desirable but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in the IT industry is mandatory.
- Certification in Relevant Technologies is required.
