About the Payroll Services Product Owner Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Payroll Services Product Owner to lead the development of a comprehensive payroll service offering. This role involves evaluating the current portfolio, identifying gaps, and designing a competitive service that aligns with broader business objectives and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Service Development:

  • Evaluate current payroll service offerings to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to understand evolving customer expectations.
  • Develop a future-ready payroll service offering aligned with internal capabilities and business objectives.

Commercialization & Program Leadership:

  • Lead the end-to-end commercialization, including gap analysis, roadmap development, and ROI analysis.
  • Create service definitions including features, functions, value proposition, SLAs, and pricing models.
  • Establish a service development roadmap with clear priorities and timelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, marketing, finance, and delivery teams to ensure readiness.
  • Work on identifying strategic partnerships and defining staffing and training requirements.

New Service Enablement & Partnerships:

  • Assess and build potential partnerships or vendor relationships to support new services.
  • Participate in site strategy and workforce planning discussions.

Operationalization & Enablement:

  • Lead enablement efforts for sales and service teams by developing training materials.
  • Define KPIs, monitor post-launch performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required: 5–8+ years in product ownership, service design or product management, proven success in launching service-based offerings, excellent project management and analytical skills.

Preferred: Experience in payroll, HR services, SaaS, or B2B services; Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Finance or related field; familiarity with agile methodologies and go-to-market strategies.
