The Opportunity: Data Scientist Intern
The Adobe Data Science team is actively seeking summer interns. This team utilizes AI and machine learning techniques to analyze vast customer data, addressing critical business challenges. These challenges include refining go-to-market strategies, optimizing sales prioritization, boosting product engagement, and enhancing customer service. This is a co-located hybrid internship, meaning interns will balance working from home and their assigned office, typically where their manager and team are located to ensure optimal support and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Extract and analyze data to comprehend the customer product lifecycle and value realization.
- Identify and report product features experiencing high and low usage.
- Develop insightful dashboards and reports for business leaders.
- Create scripts to automate data extraction from various product databases.
- Build in-house analytical tools to enhance productivity and efficiency of data tasks.
What You Need To Succeed
- Currently enrolled full-time in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027.
- Strong foundational knowledge in mathematics and statistics, including linear algebra, probability, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning, with practical experience using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL for efficient data extraction, preparation, and validation.
- Familiarity with advanced ML/AI techniques like deep learning, transformers/LLMs, graph neural networks, or causal inference.
- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments, analyze results, and translate findings into scalable solutions.
- A strong problem-solving mindset and a curious approach to exploring novel solutions for real-world challenges.
- Availability to participate in a full-time internship between May and September.
