Job Purpose

The Communications Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and evolving ADNOC’s overall enterprise communications strategy and executive positioning. This role ensures an outside-in, impact-oriented communications approach that supports ADNOC’s status as a leading international energy and chemicals company.

Strategic Planning and Narrative Development

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the high-level communications strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Translating complex strategic shifts into clear narrative frameworks.
  • Advising senior leadership on positioning and messaging trade-offs.

Reputation Intelligence and Insight

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Insights team for media monitoring and stakeholder feedback.
  • Conduct environmental scanning, peer benchmarking, and white-space identification.
  • Test narratives and engagement plans with key audiences.

Planning, Integration and Performance Tracking

You will lead:

  • Quarterly reputation reviews and planning processes.
  • Annual communications planning integrating cross-functional teams.
  • Tracking and optimizing communications performance with dashboards and KPIs.

Stakeholder-Centric Strategy

Responsibilities include ensuring communications efforts reflect stakeholder priorities by:

  • Collaborating with various internal functions and business teams.
  • Coordinating external positioning across flagship moments and platforms.

Governance, Management, and Continuous Improvement

The role involves:

  • Building internal capabilities through coaching and template development.
  • Staying updated on best practices in corporate reputation and executive communications.

Communications & Working Relationships

Internal: Regularly engaging with VP, team members, functional heads, and department managers.

External: Working with service providers, consultants, industry experts, and media.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8-12+ years experience in strategic communications, reputation management, policy advisory, or stakeholder engagement in energy, government, consulting, or financial services.
