About the Role: IT Legal Manager
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. is seeking an experienced IT Legal Manager to join their team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for managing the legal aspects of the company's IT and digital operations, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks related to technology contracts and data privacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of technology-related agreements, including SaaS agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other IT vendor contracts.
- Provide expert advice on data privacy matters, conduct privacy assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws such as the DPDP Act and GDPR.
- Offer legal and contractual support to the IT, digital, and procurement teams, facilitating smooth operations and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the entire contract negotiation process, conduct thorough risk assessments, and coordinate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Possess 8+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) specifically within IT, Technology, or Corporate Legal domains.
- Demonstrate strong, proven experience in managing SaaS, MSA, SOW, and other complex technology contracts.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of prevailing data privacy laws, including but not limited to the DPDP Act and GDPR.
- Showcase excellent drafting skills, strong negotiation capabilities, and a business partnering approach to legal advisory.
