Our Structures Team focuses on designing structures that meet client requirements and positively impact the community. The team delivers value engineering solutions by creating structures with performance efficiencies and leverages market and industry connections to achieve results. We provide a range of services across Australia in multiple sectors, focusing on the development of safe, considered, and innovative solutions for complex construction challenges. Our team prides itself on seamlessly working with project stakeholders, ensuring solutions are developed collaboratively and with full consideration of project implications.

About The Role

Our Sydney office is actively seeking an Associate Director - Structural with significant engineering design experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to lead and mentor developing engineers within the group. This pivotal role within the Sydney Structures team involves managing projects and future work pipelines, interfacing with key clients, conducting business development activities, and developing and mentoring a team.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Chartered member (CPEng) of Engineers Australia
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Ideally 15+ years demonstrated experience in structural engineering
  • Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level in project design and commercial outcomes
  • Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects, and communicating with clients
  • An innovative and 'out of the box' attitude to solutions and designs
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others
  • Ability to develop their own team and client base
  • Ability to win work with support from the Structures Team
