Senior SAP Engineer Defense & Security
Your Role
Shape SAP Defense Solutions: Develop and implement highly specialized SAP solutions based on SAP Defense Forces & Public Security (S/4HANA Defense & Security) for the German Armed Forces, defense contractors, and security authorities.
Drive S/4HANA Transformation: Accompany complex migration projects from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA in security-critical environments, ensuring seamless transitions without operational disruptions.
Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to strict security guidelines, export control regulations, and VS conformity during the implementation of SAP systems.
Functional Leadership: Take on functional leadership in Defense projects and develop junior consultants into Defense SAP experts.
Your Profile
SAP Expertise in Defense: Several years of experience with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, ideally including SAP Defense & Security and logistics modules (MM, WM, PM, EWM), proven in security-critical implementations. Experience with the Mobile Application Integration Framework (MAIF) is a valuable plus.
Technical Depth: Utilize in-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP/ABAP OO, SAP Fiori, Fiori Elements, Core Data Services, OData, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) for customized Defense solutions.
Defense Background & Security Clearance: Professional experience in the defense industry, German Armed Forces, defense contractors, or defense-focused consulting. Willingness for a security vetting (SÜG) or existing clearance (ideally up to VS-CONFIDENTIAL) is required.
Project Methodologies: Apply experience with classic and agile methodologies in regulated environments, along with solid knowledge of Requirements Engineering according to IREB.
Optional Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of military procurement processes, NATO standards, the War Weapons Control Act, and the specific challenges of the defense industry.
Communication Skills: Confidently communicate in German and English, both internally and externally.
