Customer Service Specialist
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for understanding the entire front-end process to ensure successful service for our patients. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role involves answering inbound calls, making outbound calls, verifying and analyzing information, creating orders, scheduling equipment delivery, and educating patients about financial responsibilities.
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of products and services.
- Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Document call information according to standard procedures.
- Process orders, route calls, and follow up on customer inquiries.
- Review and verify accuracy of documentation and orders.
- Complete insurance verification including eligibility and coverage details.
- Obtain pre-authorization for patient services when needed.
- Navigate multiple online EMR systems for necessary documentation.
- Communicate findings and trends with management.
- Facilitate resolution of customer complaints effectively.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.
- Proficient with computer skills and Microsoft Office.
- General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience in healthcare administrative or customer service roles; two years for senior level.
- Experience in a Medicare certified role is preferred.
