Supervisor, Operations
This position oversees branch operations, providing leadership, guidance and coordination to ensure accurate and timely delivery of medical equipment, supplies, and services to patients’ homes. The role collaborates with leadership, health systems, hospice partners, and community referral sources to improve patient services.
Job Duties
- Ensure branch services comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations (CMS, Department of Health, DOT, FDA, OSHA, etc.).
- Manage logistics team for timely order routing and productivity improvement.
- Control and manage inventory with department collaboration.
- Address service concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvement measures.
- Maintain communication with physicians, referral sources, and leadership regarding patient conditions and service adjustments.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, service checks, and emergency responses related to home respiratory equipment.
- Handle on-call responsibilities and ensure adherence to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials guidelines.
- Manage staff selection, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
- Establish departmental goals aligning with overall organizational strategies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competency, Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to co-manage multi-site environments.
- Independent thinker with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and quickly learn new technologies.
Requirements
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five years’ experience in HME leadership.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance customer service, claims, or billing is preferred.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
