Position Summary
The Staff Tax Accountant on the Closely Held Business team prepares tax returns, accounting work papers, financial statements, and statistical analyses. This role requires a degree of creativity and latitude while maintaining tax standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research
- Compile and maintain financial data and records
- Prepare detailed accounting and statistical functions
- Organize work papers with cross-references and conclusions
- Compile raw data into trial balance
- Research accounting issues using reference materials
- Maintain accurate time and expense records
- Comply with continuing professional education requirements
- Enhance the firm image by demonstrating executive presence
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field with 0-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions
AdamsBrown, LLC promotes a flexible work environment with modern work arrangements. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during tax season and close at noon on Fridays outside of tax season.
