Position Summary

The Senior Staff - Tax - Closely Held Business prepares tax returns, accounting work papers, and financial reports. This role also involves preparing detailed statistical and account analyses and may include directing the work of others. A degree of creativity and sound judgment is expected.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or bachelor’s with 150-hour CPA requirement
  • Licensed CPA or actively pursuing certification
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research to identify planning opportunities
  • Develop detailed accounting and statistical analyses for tax preparation
  • Maintain accurate billing records and use reference materials for accounting research
  • Implement and recommend new or revised accounting systems
  • Work closely with firm principals, managers, and staff to integrate practice development and client service
  • Promote the firm’s values, mission and support the one-firm concept
