Position Summary
The Senior Staff Accountant on the Closely Held Business team prepares tax returns, accounting work papers, financial reports, and statistical analyses. The role requires familiarity with tax and audit standard concepts, and may involve leading and directing others. Creativity and judgment are key in accomplishing goals.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research for client strategies.
- Develop detailed accounting and statistical functions for tax preparation.
- Utilize reference materials for researching accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate time and expense records for billing.
- Ensure compliance with continuing professional education requirements.
- Recommend and assist in implementing revised accounting systems.
- Exhibit executive presence through effective written and verbal communication.
- Foster strong client service relationships and cross-sell services.
- Continuously develop technical and communication skills.
- Promote firm values, mission, and integrated team approaches.

Offices operate from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during tax season (with early closure on Fridays outside tax season) and are closed on major holidays.
