Position Summary
The Staff Tax Accountant on the Closely Held Business team prepares tax returns, standard accounting work papers and statements, basic statistical and account analyses, and other financial reports.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns and perform tax research
- Compile and maintain financial data and records
- Prepare detailed accounting and statistical work papers
- Compile raw data into trial balance and recapitulate cash flows
- Utilize reference materials for researching accounting issues
- Maintain accurate time and expense records for billing
- Adhere to continuing professional education requirements
- Enhance the firm image by demonstrating executive presence
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field with 0-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
