Position Summary
The Senior Staff - Tax - Closely Held Business prepares tax returns, accounting work papers, detailed statistical analyses and financial reports. The role involves tax research, use of reference materials, and maintaining accurate billing records. In addition, the position may involve leading and directing others while applying a creative approach and sound judgment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Bachelor’s with 150-hour CPA requirement
- Licensed CPA or active CPA candidate
- 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research for client strategies
- Perform detailed accounting, statistical functions, and time/expense tracking
- Maintain compliance with professional education and accounting standards
- Assist in implementing new/revised accounting systems
- Enhance firm image with executive presence and strong communication
- Collaborate with principals, managers, and staff for client service and business development
